A three star hotel
built on a 16th c. Carmelitan Convent (El Convento del Carmen). Declared as
"National Historic-Artistic Monument." Founded by Santa Teresa and San Juan de
la Cruz themselves.
The hotel is located at 2 km.
outside Pastrana. Once the hometown of the Princess of Éboli, Pastrana is now regarded as
a town of great historic-artistic interest. It is only an hour from Madrid.
There are 26 rooms fully equipped
with wrought iron furniture, a complete en-suite bathroom ( hairdryer included),
telephone, colour television, mini-bar and safe-deposit box. A fax service is also
available. There are also bicycles and a gym.
Santa Teresa´s Restaurant is
specialized in typical regional cuisine using the products of the convent´s own garden
for the elaboration of their dishes.
There is a terrace and leafy
gardens, as well as several halls for conferences.
